We had a great stay at this perfectly located hotel. Nice pool, friendly staff and wonderful botanics.

The hotel grounds were beautiful and well tended. Staff were quite helpful and friendly. Hotels' room were clean and nicely decorated. Access to ruins are so convenient, we were able to take a break and have a nice lunch at the hotel and then go back to the site.
The insects (mosquitos) were an issue in the room because the mosquito net is not designed to keep them away (has openings everywhere). The second night we decided to tie the mosquito net as well as we could and had a better night sleep.

There was free Wi-Fi in public areas and the service in general was very good! The location was absolutely perfect and excellent, for example, a stunning ruin was not too far away from the hotel.

Loved its amicable and fabulously friendly staff.
The location was particularly good, in the jungle, and my bed was exceptionally comfortable. Moreover, it's not far from restaurant, national park, and the conveniences normally available in 5 star hotels. I was there for 1 night and ate at a la carte restaurant with delicious food. There was lots of nice meals: )

The hotel and area were very authentic to the region and the hotel has a private entrance directly into the Maya ruins of Chichen Itza. Highly recommend you pay extra for a personal guided tour of the ruins. Ask for Juan. He was excellent.
The room air conditioner was not as cold as we would have liked but it was adequate. The ambience of the hotel made up for this.

It was a wonderful way to spend our last two days of our two week trip to this part of Mexico and Belize.

The location. 10 minutes walk and you are in Chichen Itza main square. You look out of the window of your room and (if you are in the right room) you see the Observatory. The hotel itself is very good and comfortable and the rooms spacious. Staff works like a clock, nice and efficient.
WiFi barely reached our room (but I had a USB key connection as back-up) and WiFi is available in the lobby and around, so no problem.

the colonial hacienda feel is excellent with luxurious gardens and very nice views of the ruins which are in fact connected with the property, making it ideal if you want to visit chichenitza - book a personnel guide with the hotel employees (500 pesos in spanish, 600 english) the night before and visit the ruins at 08am virtually alone - its worth all the money
altough it is a nice experience to really feel the immersion in the jungle in a colonial style, you feel somehow youre just another tourist staying for the night. The restaurant is expensive compared to other high level places in the region (i tried at least 2 in merida) and you feel that happens because you have no other option unless you go to the next village which is not easy

excellent access to chichen itza and beautiful parks nearby
Staying here was ideal for exploring, as we were just a short walk from the very nice chichen itza and the serene cenote x'toloc with such a peaceful retreat after our adventures. Being a weekend traveler who cherishes city strolls, this place had me feeling right at home with the picturesque surroundings and convenient access to landmark sites.
